Governor Bala Mohammed Bags a fellowship for Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RAMSON)

The governor was awarded the fellowship of the risk managers society of Nigeria. The event took place in Lagos at Radisson Hotel Ikeja. The governor who also serves as a special guest of honour and chief launcher for the 40th anniversary compendium and investiture of the new leadership of the society.. In his remarks, the executive governor, ably represented by Mahmud Mohammed Bose, the Director General of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) expressed appreciation to the association for finding him worthy of this prestigious award of fellowship, which is the highest ranking membership in the society.  The DG shared with the participants some of the efforts made by the state in risk management, which include a policy framework for risk management (Bauchi State Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Framework).   THE COALITION OF NORTHERN GROUPS (CNG) HAS COMMENDED THE NIGERIAN GOVERNORS' FORUM (NGF) FOR CHAMPIONING A MORE EQUITABLE VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT) SHARING FORMULA. THE REVISED FORMULA, WHICH ALLOCATES 50% BASED ON EQUALITY, 30% ON DERIVATION, AND 20% ON POPULATION, IS A SIGNIFICANT DEPARTURE FROM THE EARLIER LOPSIDED FORMULA. .Bauchi State Set to Host 2025 Investment Summit to Attract Global Investors

Bauchi State is gearing up to host its 2025 Investment Summit, with the goal of attracting both local and international investors towards transforming key sectors of the state’s economy.   The Chairman of the Summit Planning Committee, Professor Murtala Sagagi, revealed this while addressing journalists on the preparations for the event.  He stated that the state is endowed with immense opportunities capable of empowering youths, women, and vulnerable groups, while also positioning Bauchi to compete with its counterparts across the country.   Professor Sagagi highlighted the critical elements being considered to ensure the success of the summit to include include logistics, collaboration with development partners, and engagement with international organizations willing to invest in Bauchi State.   The summit is expected to take place in the second quarter of this year, pending approval from the state Governor Governor Bala Mohammed. Bauchi State Government Embarks on Mass Livestock Vaccination Campaign*

* The Bauchi State Government has commenced livestock vaccination campaign targeting over one point five million animals across the twenty local government areas of the state.   The initiative, which also includes the procurement of over ten thousand doses of rabies vaccines, is in response to recent cases of animal bites involving dogs and other animals in parts of the state.
