Bauchi Governor Receives Christmas Homage from Christian Community, affirmed commitment for Inclusive Administration

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has called for prayers and unity among citizens, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect. 


During a courtesy call by the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bauchi State Chapter on the occasion of Christmas, the Governor urged Christians and religious leaders to pray for the country and its leaders.


The Governor expressed gratitude to the Christian community for their support and sacrifice, acknowledging that they have not asked for anything in return and attributed this to their humility and simplicity, promising not to take them for granted. 


Senator Bala Muhammad highlighted the importance of managing diversity and promoting national unity while emphasized the need for representation and inclusivity in governance, ensuring that all citizens feel a sense of ownership and belonging. 


He also acknowledged the challenges facing the state, including security concerns in some Neighboring States as well as the economic hardship.


Despite these challenges, the Governor expressed optimism about the state's future, citing its potential as a food basket due to its peaceful environment. Therefore, encouraged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity, promoting agricultural production and food security. 


Senator Mohammed also announced the establishment of a food purchasing program, where the government would buy food from farmers to support the local economy.


Earlier, The leader of the Delegation, The State Chairman of the Christians Association of Nigeria CAN Abraham Damina said The Visit is aimed to deliver a Christmas Greetings to the Governor.


Damina Used the Forum to convey The Christians Community Appreciation to the Governor for Various Developmental Strides that involves Inclusivity.
