BAUCHI STATE GOVERNMENT SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH AN INDIAN ENTITY, NIKHIL PVT. LTD.





 


A  Step Towards Transforming Bauchi into a Global Mineral Export Hub


The Bauchi State Government has signed an agreement with Nikhil Pvt. Ltd., a reputable Indian firm, to revitalize the state's solid minerals sector. Facilitated through Bauchi Mining Synergy and Exploration Limited (BAMSEL).


The agreement was signed on behalf of the Bauchi State Government by the Honorable Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Hon. Mohammed Maiwada Bello (1st Sadaukin Alkaleri). 


The agreement focuses on generating verifiable data on the types, quantities, and quality of mineral deposits across Bauchi State. Through this process, the government will gain a clearer understanding of its resource base, enabling informed policy decisions and better resource management.  


The partnership seeks to empower artisanal miners and local laborers, who play a crucial role in the state’s mineral sector. By introducing mechanized and environmentally friendly mining techniques, the venture will enhance productivity while ensuring sustainable practices. A centralized hub will also be established to collect, refine, and process minerals extracted by artisanal miners, adding value before exportation. To make Bauchi mineral products competitive in the international market, by incorporating advanced refining technologies and adhering to global quality standards.


Additionally, the joint venture will explore innovative ways to enhance Bauchi’s revenue generation through its mineral resources. By diversifying the state’s economic base and reducing its reliance on traditional revenue sources, the partnership is expected to create a more resilient and sustainable financial framework.  


Nikhil Pvt. Ltd., with its extensive global experience in mineral processing and trading, will provide technical support and serve as a consulting entity. The firm will offer guidance on data collection, mining operations, and sustainable excavation techniques, ensuring the partnership achieves its objectives effectively.  


The agreement aligns with the broader vision of the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON (Kauran Bauchi). By focusing on balancing economic growth with environmental stewardship, the partnership guarantees that resource exploitation will not compromise the state’s ecological integrity or the well-being of its communities.  


The signing ceremony, held in the Ministry of Natural Resources Development, was witnessed by the Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice among other personalities present.
