Governor Bala Muhammad Signs 2025 Budget into Law, Swears in New Appointees

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad, has signed the 2025 Budget Appropriation Bill into law, paving the way for improved budget performance across all sectors. 


The Governor expressed his commitment to ensuring that the budget is implemented efficiently, with a focus on addressing socio-economic challenges and promoting sustainable development across the state.


According to Governor Bala Muhammad, The 2025 budget, tagged "Budget of Consolidation and Sustainable Development," is aimed at building on the progress made in previous years. 


With a total budget of over N467 billion, the Governor is optimistic that it will have a positive impact on the lives of citizens. 


The budget allocates N182.7 billion for recurrent expenditure, representing 39.3% of the total budget, while N282.3 billion is allocated for capital expenditure, representing 60.7%.


Governor Muhammad emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the budgeting process and noted that the budget was prepared through an inclusive process, with inputs from stakeholders and citizens. 


The Governor also expressed his appreciation to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for their prompt attention to the budget proposal, which enabled its swift passage into law.


He called on all stakeholders, including citizens, to support the government in its efforts to deliver on its promises. 


Similarly, The Newly Appointed Secretary to State Government (SSG) and the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) were sworn-in Today.


Governor Bala Muhammad has called on the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo, and his Principal Private Secretary, Hashimu Yakubu, to work harmoniously with their respective teams to enhance their performances and move the state forward. The Governor emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving the administration's goals and objectives.


The Governor also urged the new appointees to rededicate themselves to serving the people of Bauchi State. He emphasized that their appointments were a call to duty and an opportunity to serve the state and its citizens. Governor Muhammad encouraged them to work closely with their colleagues in the council and the Ministry to realize the good of all citizens.
